This Bellaire Boulevard shop was an Antone's until 2018, when the family running it lost the rights to the name and put their son's on the sign instead. The sandwich didn't change: the Regular is imported ham, salami and provolone with mayo, pickles and chowchow, the old Houston po-boy.

The name behind the Houston po-boy. Antone's started on Taft Street in 1962 and its Original is still the blueprint: ham, salami and provolone on po-boy bread with mayo, dill pickles and a spoonful of chowchow, served cold. This shop sits on San Felipe just inside the Loop from the Galleria.
