This Bellaire Boulevard shop was an Antone's until 2018, when the family running it lost the rights to the name and put their son's on the sign instead. The sandwich didn't change: the Regular is imported ham, salami and provolone with mayo, pickles and chowchow, the old Houston po-boy.
If you're doing a side-by-side with Antone's, the Regular is the one to order. The menu also wanders into Cajun territory, muffuletta included. There's a second Paulie's farther out on Westheimer.
