Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh's sandwiches were built for people working odd hours. Primanti's started feeding Strip District truck drivers in 1933 and put the fries and slaw right on the sandwich; the giant fried fish sandwich, hanging off both ends of the bun, is what the city eats on Fridays. For a Submariner, the Rolex counters are in Shadyside, the South Hills and Sewickley.
