Half fish market, half counter-service restaurant on Penn Avenue in the Strip, with a seafood freezer case full of things you won't find elsewhere in town. The sandwich board runs long, but the Pittsburgh order is the English Style Cod: hand-breaded cod with tartar sauce.

Order at the counter, then find a seat. The kitchen keeps short hours early in the week (it closes at 4 on Monday and Tuesday and at 2 on Sunday), so Wednesday through Saturday is when you can get a fish sandwich for dinner. If one piece of cod isn't enough, The Captain piles breaded cod with lobster salad, melted cheese and spicy remoulade. There's a sushi menu too, and the market side sells fresh fish to take home.
