Signature Sandwich Caribbean Roast (roast pork, aioli, grilled onions)

About

The little Fremont Avenue shop where Seattle first fell for the Caribbean Roast, back in the mid-'90s. It went bankrupt in 2014; a longtime regular bought it at auction and brought back old staff to rebuild the menu, while the founding Lorenzo family went on to open Un Bien.

The Caribbean Roast is roast pork, aioli and a heap of grilled onions on a toasted baguette, and it drips, so grab extra napkins. Locals still argue over whether this one or Un Bien's is better; eating both in one weekend is the only fair way to settle it. Paseo also runs shops in SoDo and Issaquah.
