The family that gave Nashville hot chicken. As the story goes, Thornton Prince's fed-up girlfriend loaded his fried chicken with pepper to punish him, he loved it, and the family has been frying it ever since. The Nolensville Pike shop is the one to visit, and the sandwich comes messy, doused in a sweet-hot sauce.
Can't settle on a heat level? Order tenders by the piece and get each one at a different spice, then pick your sandwich next time. It's closed on Sundays. If you're downtown or flying out, Prince's also has counters in Assembly Food Hall and at the airport (start of the C/D concourse), plus one at Tanger Outlets in Antioch.
