The Cherry Street branch of the downtown diner, in Glendale, the little city wrapped inside Denver. It serves the same Green Chili Mexi-Burger: a patty and refried beans rolled in a flour tortilla, buried in pork green chili and cheddar. The menu's own tip is to add two eggs on top.
The building used to be Sam Taylor's barbecue joint. Glendale's hours are steadier than downtown's: it opens at 7:30 every morning and stays open until 8:30 most nights and 9 on Fridays and Saturdays, so it's the easier Sam's for a late Mexi-Burger. The diner's other famous order is the big breakfast burrito smothered in green chile.
