Denver's oldest bar: there's been a saloon at 15th and Platte since 1873, under one name or another. The burgers come wrapped in wax paper. Order the JCB, a burger topped with jalapeño cream cheese.

The name has a story: when two brothers ran the place they'd swap the bar and kitchen jobs, and when vendors came looking to be paid, each one said "Don't look at me, it's my brother's bar." If one JCB isn't enough, the Johnny Burger adds American and Swiss cheese and grilled onions to the cream cheese; the menu suggests making it a double. There's a bison burger too, the Ralphie. It's open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and it closes at 8 pm on Sundays.
