An old Den-Mex kitchen on Champa Street that's been cooking since 1963. The Mexican hamburger is the thing to get: a char-grilled patty with refried beans hidden under it, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla and covered in green chile and melted yellow cheese.
Plan around the hours. It's mostly a weekday lunch place, open 11 to 2:30 Monday through Thursday, with dinner only on Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday is the long day, 11 am to 9 pm, with happy hour from 3 to 7. 5280 calls the building a warehouse hole-in-the-wall, so don't go looking for a fancy front.
