Chef Mariha Hinojosa's fast-casual counter on East MLK, where the torta gets a loose, chef-driven treatment: brisket barbacoa, carnitas, buffalo fried chicken, or pulled pork with smoked bacon, ham, mustard and pickles. The Infatuation counts it among Austin's best tortas.
Hinojosa trained at the Culinary Institute of America and grew up in the Rio Grande Valley. On weekend mornings there's a chilaquiles torta for brunch. It opens at 11 Tuesday through Friday and at 9 on Saturday and Sunday; Monday isn't on its schedule.
