The East 11th Street joint whose line made Austin brisket famous. The brisket sandwich is the simple way in, with slaw, pickles and onions if you want them. On a budget, the chopped beef sandwich costs less than half as much.
The line used to start around 7 am and run four hours; you can now order online ahead instead. It opens at 11 Tuesday through Sunday and closes when the meat runs out, usually around 2 or 3, and it's closed Mondays. There's also a Tipsy Texan sandwich on the board, plus pulled pork and turkey.
