A former food truck turned full restaurant off Stassney Lane, serving what it calls inventive barbecue. Its chopped brisket sandwich gets a beet barbecue sauce, pickles and pickled onion. Its L&L Burger is a smoked-then-seared half-pound brisket patty with American cheese.
It's about a mile and a half west of I-35, and unlike most Austin barbecue it stays open into the evening: until 9 most nights and 10 on Fridays and Saturdays. It's closed Tuesdays. If you're staying for more than a sandwich, the beef cheeks are the thing people rave about.
