A wine shop and hoagie counter out on Irving Street, a few blocks from Ocean Beach. The Italian American is the one people come for: mortadella and finocchiona with mozzarella, Parmesan, arugula and an 'nduja sauce, on a roll long enough to share.
The hoagies are made to order, and you can order ahead online through Palm City's Toast page and just pick up. Grab a bottle from the shop shelves while you're there, or take everything down to the beach. Monday and Tuesday nights run a shorter menu, but the Italian American is on it. The Infatuation says it's "the length of a mini baseball bat."
