A small sub shop on Ocean Avenue, Deli World for close to 20 years before the current owner, who grew up nearby, took it over. The menu sticks to a handful of pre-built subs dressed with mustard, mayo and a tangy herb vinaigrette, and The Infatuation rates it the city's best sub.
Start with the Original: Italian meats, crisp vegetables and that vinaigrette, ordered on Dutch crunch and toasted so the roll goes crackly but stays chewy. The Atomic piles on five meats; the tuna sub is the pick if you build your own. Subs come in 6 and 8 inches, and you can order ahead online for pickup. Seats are scarce at lunch, so plan on eating somewhere else, even if that's your car. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 11 to 3.
