Lucca Delicatessen – Marina
About
A family Italian deli on Chestnut Street that has been in the same spot, a former garage, since Mike Bosco opened it in 1929. The #1 Italian Combo is salame, ham, mortadella and provolone with mild Italian peppers, and Dutch crunch is one of the breads you can pick.
The sandwich board runs long, from the Calabrian with hot salame to a muffaletta on salted focaccia, but the #1 is the house Italian Combo: salame, ham, mortadella, provolone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and mild Italian peppers. Pick your bread from the build-your-own list; Dutch crunch is on it, next to Acme Italian and Liguria focaccia. Lunch gets busy, so The Infatuation suggests ordering ahead online. It's a grocery too: olive oil, crackers and trays of meatballs to take home. Open daily, 9 to 6.
