Brent's Deli – Northridge

Signature Sandwich Black Pastrami Reuben

About

The Valley's big Jewish deli, on Parthenia Street in Northridge. The order is the Black Pastrami Reuben: pepper-crusted pastrami, Swiss, Russian dressing and hot sauerkraut on grilled rye.

Brent's black pastrami is coated in black pepper, and the deli says the Black Pastrami Reuben is the dish people order most. The Infatuation's tip: swap the steak fries for curly fries. If you want it plain, there's a hot pastrami on double-baked rye, and lean cuts if you ask. A quirk of the name: the deli was already called Brent's when Ron Peskin bought it in 1969, and his son just happened to be named Brent. There's a second Brent's in Westlake Village.
